HERITAGE-TECH LAB – VERSOIX :

As life expectancy increases, we face new challenges—longer lives often come with lower quality years, and education struggles to keep pace with rapid developments, putting pressure on mental health and self-reliance. Today’s challenges require creative problem-solving, yet we often overlook the power of simple, impactful inventions. The past holds valuable lessons: before computers, inventors solved problems using fundamental tools and ingenuity. By studying how past inventors identified and solved problems, we can inspire critical thinking, adaptability, and entrepreneurship in today’s youth. 

Versoix has been home to brilliant inventors whose ideas shaped the world. Through the Heritage-Tech Lab, ÆRAS, Heritage Association of Versoix and AddictLab bring their stories to life, engaging students in hands-on workshops that blend history, storytelling, technology, and entrepreneurship. 

Students learn about inventors through life anecdotes, explore historical inventions, and create their own prototypes, bridging the gap between heritage and future innovation—proving that yesterday’s ingenuity can help solve today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
