Addictlab is inviting you to the @SDGSolutionspace in Geneva to make your own solar light.

The LEDsafari lamp is a low cost MIY (Make-it-yourself) solar lamp that uses a small solar panel (0.5 W) to convert energy from the sun, store it in a battery and use it to power a LED bulb.

In two hours, participants will learn and subsequently apply solar technology theories by assembling an electrical circuit using the LEDsafari kit and placing it in a personalised lamp body made of recycled material.

Bring your own recycled plastics (Nutella jar, anyone?) or other container that you’d want to use for your light. Or we use the 3D printing or laser cutter to create from scratch.

Did we mention you’ll learn some soldering as well?

Date : Saturday March 10

Select your session: 10h-12h or 14h – 16h.
